アルゼンチンで最も有力な新聞『La Nacion』にこんな記事が出ました。

この記事に書かれているのは、H.P.FRANCE代表の村松孝尚が、NYでマルティン・チュルバ（Tramandoデザイナー）に出会い、その後、ブエノスアイレスに初めて降り立った瞬間、アルゼンチンの風景に一目惚れしてしまったという話。

そして、H.P.FRANCEのアルゼンチン・プロジェクトのマネージャーである竹本祐三子が現在は2008年9月のrooms展示会でアルゼンチンのプレゼンテーションを行うために動いていること。

また、H.P.FRANCEが日本のマーケットに向けて、Juana de Arco、Tramando、SantestebanやViviana Uchitelなどのブランドと取り組んでいる素晴らしい経験についても。

 

この記事は、マーケットの大きさと同じくらい、期待も大きい、と語って結んでいます。デザイナーたちのために幸運を祈ります！

 

A report of La Nacion, the most important newspaper in Argentina, wrote about what happened to Takanao Muramatsu when he met Martin Churba in NY and later when he arrived in Buenos Aires for the first time. He felt in love at first sight!

The report, tells that Yumico Takemoto, Project Manager of Argentine Project in HP France is working in the presentation of Argentina in Rooms Exhibition in sep 2008.

They also write about the good experience that HP France is having working with Juana de Arco, Tramando, Santesteban and Viviana Uchitel for the Japanese market.

 

The article finishes telling that the expectation is as big as the market it is; good luck for our designers!!!!

5月25日は"May Revolution"として知られる、アルゼンチンの祝日でした。革命に関わる様々な出来事が1810年にブエノスアイレス市で起こり、スペインから独立することとなったのです。

 

May Revolutionはスペインからの独立そのものを意味するわけではありません。独立したのは1816年7月9日です。

 

せっかくYumicoがブエノスアイレスに来ていたので、5月25日の朝、私たちはFeria de Mataderos（Mataderosのフリーマーケット）に行くことにしました。MartinとMauroも来てくれました！　到着すると、そこは混んでいて、あらゆるところから来た人たちがみんな休日を楽しみ、色んな種類の手作りのものが売られていました。

 

Feria de Mataderosには、アルゼンチンの色々な地域の典型的なものがあり、典型的なアルゼンチンの衣装を着た人たちが、典型的なアルゼンチン料理を食べている姿を目にできます。大勢の人がASADO SANDWICH（ミート・サンドイッチ）をほおばりながら、通りを歩き、フリーマーケットを楽しんでいました！　素敵な日曜日でした！

 

May the 25^th is a holiday for the Argentinean people, it is known as the "Revolución de Mayo", "May Revolution" holiday. A number of revolutionary events happened on that day in 1810 in the city of Buenos Aires,  that on those days depended of Spain.

The May revolution doesn't imply the independence from Spain, that will take place on the 9^th July of 1816.

On Sunday 25^th May morning and advantaging that Yumico was in Buenos Aires, we decided to go to Feria de Mataderos, Mataderos Flea Market. We went there with Martin and Mauro!...When we arrived there it was so crowded, people from everywhere were enjoying the holiday, a lot of stocks offering different type of handcraft.

At Feria de Mataderos you can see typical things of different places of Argentina, and we have seen people wearing typical Argentinean clothes, and eating typical food. As there were so many people we had an ASADO SANDWICH (meat sanwdwich) walking around the streets and enjoying what we could be there! Lovely Sunday!

 

『What surrounds us reflects us. Collections of Contemporary Art』という本の出版記念イベントが行われました。このプロジェクトの発端は、Taka（訳注：HPF代表 村松孝尚）とYumicoと私がいつものように、カルチャーや人やアートや本やブエノスアイレスに関する私たちの情熱について、熱いフリートークを交わしていたことに始まります。

 

How people live（人が生きるということ）。

 

私たちの企業のコンセプトとミッションは、いつも、どこの国にあっても、How people liveというテーマについて求め、考え、語ることに関心を持ち、情熱を捧げることでした。そういう意味で、デザイナーやアーティストたちは、私たちにとって彼らの美しい暮らしやそれぞれのスタイルを紹介するための、格好のコミュニケーターでした。

 

アルゼンチンのコンテンポラリーアートを、コレクターと、彼らの家とそこに息づくアートを通じて紹介する本を作る、ということもまた私たちにとって欠かせないミッションでした。

 

編集者であるEloise Alemanyと素晴らしい出会いにより、この夢は実現への道をたどり始めました。Eloiseはこの本のクリエイティヴ・ディレクションと編集を助けてくれました。また、本の制作の中心となってくれた、素晴らしいアーティスト・チームのおかげで、この本は真にコンテンポラリーで、アルゼンチン的で、アーティスティックなものとなりました。アルゼンチンの出版社であるEdition LarivièreとDudu‥‥、偶然の一致により彼女の日本旅行中に出会うことができたのも、この本の実現を後押ししてくれました。

 

約1年におよぶ作業の末、とうとう、「arteBA 08」にてこの本の立ち上がりを迎えることができました。コレクターの皆さん、業界関係者、Juana de ArcoのMariana Cortes、MaminasのMarina、Lola Goldstein、そして友人や家族たちがこの素晴らしい本の誕生を祝いに駆けつけてくれました。

 

そして、Yumicoのブエノスアイレス出張とタイミングが一致したことで、一緒にお祝いをし、アルゼンチンと日本の結びつきをとてもはっきりと感じることができたのは、非常に幸運でした。

This was a project that happened to take shape from a free conversation among Taka, Yumico and me, in the course of our daily conversations about our passion for culture, people. Art and book and Buenos Aires.

 

How people live.

 

Our company's concept and our mission is always to be interested and passionate to find, see and tell about HOW PEOPLE LIVE, all over the world. In this way designers and artist are our communicators to introduce the beautiful life and the style each has.

 

Making a book introducing Argentine's contemporary art through collectors and their houses with art in there life, was also a necessary mission for us.

 

With a great encounter, between Eloise Alemany and me, this dream started to have life. She gives the creative direction and edition of the book. We also worked with a great team of artists, who have been central to creating a book that is truly contemporary, truly Argentine and truly artistic. Edition Larivière, Dudu..... who we met by coincidence during her visit to Japan was the publisher in Argentina making it possible.

 

Finally after a year working, we arrived to the launching of the book, it took place during arteBA 08. All the collectors, people from the industry, Mariana Cortes from Juana, Marina from Maminas, Lola Goldstein and friends and family came to congratulate and celebrate the naissance of this very nice book.

 

We were very lucky that Yumico was here to celebrate and to connect in a very clear way Argentina and Japan.
