Buenos Aires gives you the chance to get a perfect little escape. There are a lot of chances to enjoy the weekend plunging into a different world with an absolutely different air, only an hour drive from the city. Today I will tell you the first secret program for the weekend. Pilar is the name of a small city, 50 minutes by car from the Capital City (where I live). Very quickly we have arrived at the countryside of a friend. The house called La Escondida (in Spanish means hidden), hidden from noise, hidden from people. Suddenly some horses appear 20 meters from where we were, welcoming us to their place. The place belongs to Paul and Florence Pieres, one of the traditional argentine "polo" families; they welcomed us to their habitat, plenty of essential luxury and confort. A few days of polo and field!!!The house has a delicious decoration, full of bright colors in a very typical pampas vegetation, surrounded by horses and soy plants. During the months of Jan and Feb it is very hot in that area, and the drought can be a big problem but La Escondida has a huge pool to refresh!! We had the opportunity to see the sunset having a wonderfull argentine wine with delicious homemade food. Having an ASADO (the VERY typical argentine meat), riding horses and playing polo are a must. We have enjoyed an essential luxury time! Weekend holiday!
