David and I have been meaning to go to a cafe called Wild Hive for months. It's about 40 minutes from our house but close to where I volunteer every week so this week after a day of walking dogs at the shelter we drove there for a late lunch. The cafe is owned by a man named Don Lewis who is famous in the Slow Food movement here. He grows and processes organic, local grains into flours. The cafe also has a bakery that sells breads made from this flour. David and I both had the samosas and they were delicious. They came with handmade plum chutney and sauerkraut. For some reason most of the tasty restaurants in our area are expensive. It's hard to find cheap good food. Wild Hive is really affordable so we hope to go back again soon.
