小さい頃、ピンクは私の一番好きな色でした。私の部屋の壁はバブルガム・ピンクで、ベッドはフリフリのピンクのカバーで覆われていました。年月が経つうちに、私はいまでもそんなにピンク好きだとことを否定し始めたように思います。だって、あんまり少女っぽすぎますから。でも、今、花々を見ていると、私はやっぱりこの色が好きなんだという気持ちが、再び湧き上がってくるのを感じてしまいます。新しい植物を買うとき、いつもどんな色の組み合わせにするべきかですごく迷ってしまうのですが、これからは色々な深さのピンク色の花をつける植物を中心に集めてゆけばいいんじゃないかと思い始めました。写真はこちらに引っ越してきてから私が買った2種類の植物と、もう1つは既にここで咲いていた花です。
| When I was little, pink was my favorite color. My room was painted a bubblegum pink and my bed was covered with frilly pink covers. Over the years I think I started to deny the fact that I still liked pink so much because it was just too girlie. But looking at flowers now, I am sensing a renewal in my favoring this color again. Since I have a really hard time staying with any kind of rigid color palate when buying new plants, I am thinking it might be a good idea from now on to collect mostly pink flowering plants in all different shades.
